
In July AviancaTaca Holding S.A. reported the movement of 1.9 million passengers through its airline subsidiaries. The figure, which includes the passengers transported on domestic and international routes operated by Avianca, Taca and their subsidiaries, shows a 17% increase on the number of passengers transported in the same month last year.
The number of passengers transported in July by Avianca and Taca is now the highest number transported in one month by the airline group since the creation of the Holding company in February 2010.
In line with these results, the company reported the transportation of 11.6 million passengers through its subsidiaries for January-July 2011. This signifies a 19% increase in passenger numbers compared to the first seven months of 2010.
Domestic markets July 2011 vs. July 2010
During the seventh month of 2011, the subsidiaries of AviancaTaca Holding S.A. reported a 19% increase in the number of passengers transported in domestic markets in which they operate, compared with the numbers for the same month last year. Avianca and Taca passengers in local markets grew to one million during July, while the ASK* capacity, grew by 24%. Load occupancy, meanwhile, was 79.7%.
International Market July 2011 vs. July 2010
On the international route network, the AviancaTaca Holding airlines transported 0.9 million passengers during July, representing an increase of 19% on the same month last year. The ASK* capacity showed a 12% growth, achieving a load factor of 84.8%.
